How Dahab Lit the Fire of My Remote Work Dream 🌴🔥
Remote Work Dream
Back in 2017… I Found Paradise 🏝️
This is my second blog in the “My Journey” series, and today, I’m taking you back to a life-changing trip I had in 2017 — to a little gem called Dahab in Egypt. It’s a small coastal town tucked away in the South Sinai region, right by the border near Palestine and Saudi Arabia.
Now listen, when I say Dahab blew my mind — I mean it. This place quickly earned a top spot on my list of favorite destinations in the world. Crystal-clear waters, golden deserts, coral reefs that make you believe in magic… What more could a guy ask for?
So… What’s Dahab Really Like? 😍
Picture this: you wake up to the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore. You step out of your little beach hut and within seconds you’re walking barefoot on the warm sand. From snorkeling and diving in the legendary Blue Hole, to windsurfing, camel riding, and stargazing in the middle of the Sinai desert — Dahab is your all-in-one chill + adventure package.
It’s also got a surprisingly vibrant nightlife scene. Beach bars, fire shows, reggae nights, and bonfires with strangers-turned-friends. And when you’re done partying? There’s nothing like meditating on a mountain or sipping a fresh mango juice with a view of the Red Sea.

When a Vacation Sparks a Dream ✨
I went to Dahab with my mother and my brother — just a simple family vacation. But what happened there flipped a switch in my brain.
While lying on a hammock with Wi-Fi and a sea breeze, I had this thought:
“Wait a second… What if I could work from here? Like, really work. No office. No alarm clocks. No ‘back to reality’ vibes after vacation.”That was the moment the seed of remote work freedom was planted.
I realized if I could take my work with me on a trip — I wouldn’t need to take vacations anymore. The whole world could be my office. 🌍
From Dahab to Digital Nomad Dreams 🧑💻
Fast forward to now: I’m building my life and business to be fully location-independent. My goal? To live and work wherever I want, whether it’s on a mountain in Morocco, a beach in Bali, or yep — back in Dahab.
I’ve launched Seif.nl, where I offer affordable Dutch language courses to over 500 Egyptians via WhatsApp. I run a clothing brand called SeifWear that ships globally, and I’m deep in IT and sales — all online.
I’m living proof that you can build income from your laptop and still serve your community, grow your brand, and enjoy life. All you need is a laptop, a solid internet connection, and (let’s be honest) a bit of caffeine.
Want to Work Remotely Too? Here’s What Helped Me 📌
- ✅ I focused on skills that work well online: sales, design, coding, language teaching.
- ✅ I built a strong brand that reflects who I am — check out my clothing brand.
- ✅ I learned how to automate my work using tools like WordPress, FS Poster, TranslatePress and AI.
- ✅ I stay connected to my audience with free WhatsApp channels.
- ✅ And most importantly: I just started. No excuses. Just action.
Let’s Make This Dream a Movement 🚀
Look — this blog isn’t just about me. It’s about showing you that remote work isn’t some fantasy lifestyle for YouTubers and crypto bros. It’s real, it’s achievable, and it’s waiting for you — whether you’re in Cairo, Amsterdam, or Dahab.
I’m sharing my journey not because I “made it”, but because I’m making it. Every day I get closer to my dream of working from anywhere, living with purpose, and enjoying life — not escaping it.
So if you’re reading this and thinking “that sounds like me”… you’re not alone. Let’s build this journey together. 🌍💻💚

Final Words (for Now) 💬
Dahab changed me. It reminded me that life doesn’t have to be 9-to-5, stuck in traffic, waiting for holidays. There’s a different path. A freer one.
And I’m walking that path — with Wi-Fi in one hand, passion in the other.
Thanks for reading – let’s keep chasing freedom together. 🌍✨
